I went to Arles

I love the Photo Festival in Arles.  Had a little too much work to do while I was there this time but still, it's hard to take the edge off this most lovely place.  Saw some of the best photography books I've seen in a long while - which is nice because I was starting to get a bit scared that I was moving away from them, that they weren't doing for me what they used to.  Anyway, I'm ok now and managed to limit myself to purchasing only one book.  But what a book.  I can show you that another time.

Baku Before Eurovision

I am so sad not to have been able to get to Baku for Eurovision.  What an amazing place.  No doubt I will find a way to get back....meanwhile let me know if you want to see my Baku book and enjoy Eurovision.

This is the book that started everything

I bought this book years and years ago in NY.  Long before I ever considered telling anyone or even imagining I would be a photographer.  It seemed to be everything I already knew, what I wanted to say, what I wanted to hear - but hadn't.  Anyway, Sylvia Plachy and Tom Waits, I salute you.
